Running Commentary - The PBs keep coming this week

Emotionally I'm at a bit of a low ebb and as I sit here writing this post I could happily eat the whole jar of Nutella I bought yesterday.  In fact I haven't allowed Nutella in the house for a long time for that very reason but then I came across a recipe suggestion for a tortilla wrap made with Nutella and Banana.
I fantasised about it for 48 hours and then marched to the supermarket with intent.
It is very tasty, has a great balance of macro nutrients and makes for a simple, quick breakfast or post run snack at 270 odd Kcal. Score!  That calorie count incidentally varies on the type of wrap you use and the size of your banana! I'm also strict and only spread on between 15 - 20g of Nutella.

Obviously this is a super food as out of nowhere I pulled out a huge improvement on my 5 km PB today.  I think doing an interval session every week and trying to up my 1 km pace is definitely helping, much though I'd love to attribute this success to my new super food!
I set myself a goal to run a sub 30 minute 5 km race this year which is now looking a lot more attainable with my PB currently sitting at 35:32 - I could get excited.
At this juncture I am reminding myself I am trying to get into this running malarkey to get hill fit, not distract me from the mountains. (Closes down Running Bug Events page).

2 minutes faster than my last 5k!

And before you ask, yes it was an effort!  You may find this image disturbing...

PBs come at a price!
